THE BIG PICTURE
We tend to be wrapped up in the things that affect our lives and we THINK God doesn't understand. That's why it is paramount in getting to know Him and His character....
There is a bigger picture.
What if He was peeking in and seeing you all wrapped up in another human (spouse, child, friends) so much so that you wouldn't give it up. You were adamant that you had to have that person in your life, in whatever capacity, and that God didn't "get it".
Maybe it's not a person but a thing (car, house, job, retirement) or a circumstance (singleness, marriage, w/ or w/o kids) or a status (low-level job, high stress job, no job, in charge or not in charge)?
Now what if you could step outside of the "fish bowl" of this world and stand there with Him?
And see into the fish bowl through His eyes and Hear what He thinks about what is going on...
• You might see love and compassion on His face for all of the love that He feels so deeply for every human in the fish bowl.
• You might also see a tear falling down His face for the lack of understanding that those humans have towards Him and the blame they place on Him and how they try and try to be their own god and run their own lives while He stands by waiting to be acknowledged and allowed in.
• You might see God get all fired up and ANGRY at how humans treat one another in the midst of their own pain and how helpless He feels at having to stand there and watch it because He gave us freewill.
o You would also see Him working in our lives
o We live in Satan's domain, but WE have authority over Him. We have free will to make our own decisions and even in the midst of all of our BAD decisions across the span of our life, God still works things out for our good...
He's a VERY efficient God. ;)
• As you stand there and watch God experiencing these emotions, you might get mad, because it's not fair that humans treat Him in this way.
He is our creator...we don't deserve ANYTHING!!!
• But you would then see his patience and grace and you, being human, might not think the other humans deserve that because they are so self-centered... But they receive it anyway.
• You might advise Him to wipe out the human race because it's a mess
o We might be unforgiving and wipe out the planet
o God wants every last one possible to be saved, to be brought home to be with Him BEFORE he wipes out the evil
• You come to realize that God already knows the ending and He knows that He wins.
NOW you re-enter the fish bowl with renewed perspective.
Walking much more closely with God, loving Him so much more deeply because you better understand Him and you realize how dearly He loves you.
THAT is what we all need a dose of...a moment from God's perspective.
It's not as if God loved us enough to create us in His image or anything like that. I mean it's not as if He walked among us and experienced the things we go through. God is God, what would HE know about sacrifice, pain, longing... being desired... being wanted....
He in fact, experiences and knows - it - ALL!
Choose Him. He'll never disappoint you.

So He patiently waits.
Unlike us.
NOW you re-enter the fish bowl with renewed perspective.
Walking much more closely with God, loving Him so much more deeply because you better understand Him and you realize how dearly He loves you.
THAT is what we all need a dose of...a moment from God's perspective.
It's not as if God loved us enough to create us in His image or anything like that. I mean it's not as if He walked among us and experienced the things we go through. God is God, what would HE know about sacrifice, pain, longing... being desired... being wanted....
He in fact, experiences and knows - it - ALL!
Choose Him. He'll never disappoint you.
