Vulnerabilities... We all have them. Strengths and weaknesses. The enemy has listened to the words that come out of our mouths our entire life. He knows our weaknesses best. Even as we grow and overcome in some areas, there are always others where the enemy will come at us.
STAY VIGILANT!
My friend and I have discussed how we need to put on our armor and stay on guard. But armor has chinks in it and the enemy will find them. Be confident in the Lord, but don't underestimate the enemy. Know where your chinks are.
ARE YOU WEARING YOUR ARMOR?
My friend even mentioned researching the armor that knights wore and is trying to find out how they dealt with them. Is there a padding or cushioning? Did they just protect those areas and stay aware of them more?
Then today, God gave me the idea today, not just about armor, but a fortress. How do you protect it?
HOW TO PROTECT A FORTRESS AFTER ATTACK:
You get attacked once...what do you do? Respond with the appropriate weapons (in spiritual warfare you don't use physical weapons),
reinforce the fort, stay vigilant.
You get attacked again... this time you were expecting it, you knew what direction
it might come from because you know your vulnerabilities, respond,
reinforce, stay vigilant.
You get attacked again... this time the enemy has a new attack approach, you respond, REASSESS,
reinforce, adjust fire, stay vigilant.
COMPLACENCY WILL GET YOU KILLED
How often do we overcome and then get complacent thinking "I've GOT THIS!" and then the enemy comes at us from another direction.
Stay vigilant, friends. The bible talks about the devil "prowling around as a lion seeking his prey" for a reason. He's real and he wants to take us out.
THE ENEMY WANTS TO TAKE YOU OUT!!!
He wants to take out anyone who is effective for God. Anyone who gets in the way of his mission to steal those God loves or to get them to distanced from God.
Stay vigilant!
