Hey! You're Scratched! Here Let Me Fix That!

Glasses inevitably become scratched over time - even when covered with anti-scratch coating.

Scratched Eye Glasses Lens
 When that scratch is just the right size and in a part of the lens that you look through most often, it is QUITE annoying.  All you can see is that scratch and all you notice is how imperfect it makes things look and that becomes the focus. It's distracting and well... negative!

How often do we do that in life?

We focus on this small issue that seems to mar the landscape of our life or our interactions with another person, when in fact we COULD choose to FOCUS on all of the other things in our life or surrounding that person that aren't negative.

Negative things distract you and steal your focus, it is your choice to guide your thoughts in a different direction.

So try to enjoy life looking through scratched glasses and just be glad you even HAVE the glasses and can SEE!

Focusing on the negative aspects of other people is never wise when each and every one of us have our own negative issues to deal with first.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and
pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  Matthew 7:3

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.  John 10:10

Just as it is easy to focus on the flaw in your glasses lens, it is easy to focus on the flaws of others, choose differently.  For what you focus on most in others are likely the things you struggle with the most yourself.

Negativity will distract you, steal your peace and damage your relationships, consider what the enemy wants... "to steal, kill and destroy"... don't allow him that advantage, FIND the positive no matter how silly, goofy, cheesy or dorky it is - just DO IT. Your quality of life will benefit so much from a positive outlook and those closest to you will respond and change as well.

Test: In the picture above, do you find that you focus on the clouds and lack of sun, the coming of the sun as the rays peer through the clouds, or the brilliance of the entire scene? Find the good!!!

Be Blessed! Jesus Loves You!!!
