Have you ever noticed how you tend to spread out in the space that you have?
- Small desk = adapt and get creative
- Big desk = spread out, but still end up with full desk...
- Small apartment = get creative or have a cluttered place that always needs reorganizing
- Big house = more storage, no "need" to get rid of anything, risk of clutter-creep
Now think about life.
In our 20's we had to work a bit harder, we knew we had to compensate for inexperience in order to get that experience, we had to get creative because we couldn't necessarily afford things...
Then in the 30's to 40's, we start get a bit comfortable, complacent, not as pressed to try as hard, just get into a groove (or a rut).
Sometimes God allows things to happen in our life that force us to get moving, to make changes, to start adapting again. He allows the pressure to come on that makes you start THINKING about what's important, what's not, it forces you to trim off the fat, reduce the clutter, and get down to the brass tacks of what really matters in life.
When life starts pressing in, it's not necessarily to hurt you, but to make you BETTER!
Embrace the situation in front of you. Get motivated to get as much out of it as you can. I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15:1-2Your environment directly affects you, how is it helping you move forward?
When life starts pressing in, it's not necessarily to hurt you, but to make you BETTER!
Is it time for you to trim off some of the fat? To declutter your home, your finances, your relationships/friendships, your time, your priority on physical fitness, the amount of excuses you give regarding why you can't do the previously listed things?
If you don't make the decision to be more streamlined in all areas of your life, God will allow something in to help you get there... Be willing.
God has something GREAT for you!
Your best days are ahead of you!!!
How effective are you in your life that you give Him something to work with?
What needs to be trimmed off? OR what needs to be added?
Remember there is a Time for Everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
