“Sometimes a word needs to be spoken out loud.According to a presentation by Frank Peretti, there are philosophical ones in our society who say that the truth is within you. Then he explains that we are about as stable as a chair on wheels. We move to whatever “truth” we want to apply to our lives at that moment. The truth according to you... And every person has their own "truth". And since we are not stable, we cannot trust ourselves and what we think. Even science is constantly changing and evolving.
If you let something roll around in your head, you only get the answers you’re looking for.”

We have to trust the ONE who is unmoving. The one truth that withstands the test of time, that never changes with culture,
what is popular, a mood or a feeling or circumstances. The truth of the Word. The Word which commands authority. We believe Christ died on the cross, but we don’t believe we have the authority of the Word as believers. If we did, we would exercise that authority every minute of every day. We would commit as much of that authority to memory as possible.
The key thing that we forget is that Satan cannot deceive one who has his eyes on the Lord. And in that, we allow so many seemingly insignificant secular sources of input to program us, thus taking our eyes off of the Lord. In this society and the people we surround ourselves with, it is quite the challenge to keep the focus and not get distracted.
Much like driving a car and looking at the passing scenery out the side window…your car drifts in the direction that you look…and while it is a slow drift and seems insignificant, it will end up in a disastrous car wreck if you don’t correct in time.
