Why Does It Matter What I Think???

What you think ends up coming out of your mouth.

What you see and hear comes out of your mouth.

You get OUT what you put IN.

For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34

Choose your thoughts, direct them, you do NOT have to be at their mercy.

A negative thought and one that is thinking about spiritual things cannot exist in your mind at the same time.

THINKING & SPEAKING AT THE SAME TIME...TRY...

  1. Start counting from 1 to 10 in your head.
  2. Now around #7, say your name out loud.
  3. When you speak, your thoughts stop.
  4. You can't do both at the same time.
When your thoughts turn negative,
start speaking scripture out loud.

Post scripture up all over your house if you can't remember it, write it on a piece of paper and carry it in your wallet, do what you need to do to make this happen. It's VERY powerful.

THE BIBLE TELLS YOU WHAT TO THINK ABOUT
Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
(You renew your mind by reading God's Word.)

HOW YOU SPEAK OVER YOUR LIFE MATTERS 
It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person. Matt 15:11

Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3
(Speak what is not, as though it is, and it will be...)

Speak positively over your life and situation. Speak what you want to be.

GUARD YOUR HEART 
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23
(Why? Because it is valuable - you don't guard worthless things - it is the source of everything you do and your heart is under constant attack.)

DON'T RATIONALIZE
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Cast all your anxiety [worries/concerns] on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

WORRY = PRIDE = NOT TRUSTING GOD
(Don't try to figure it out, rest in God. Spending energy worrying over a matter steals your joy and peace [the enemy likes that] and it adds nothing to your life. It's also prideful because you presume that worrying can make a difference in the matter, you're NOT trusting God.,

You're in essence kicking Jesus in the teeth saying that what He did on the Cross to overcome ALL, was not enough...and you need to do a little bit more worrying in order to make a difference in this situation.)

PRAYER WORKS
 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

You want something but don't get it....You do not have, because you do not ask God. James 4:2
 
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15

What you think matters. I don't care what you think, but YOU should care what you think and God cares what you think. He cares because your thoughts drive so much of what you do and He wants you to have quality of life, peace, joy and prosperity.

NEGATIVE GETS YOU NOWHERE 
A negative, self-destructive thought life (which leads to negative self-destructive speaking) does not promote anything good. It's a deceptive pity party that the enemy hosts leading you to believe that you are only being realistic.

God has something to say about realistic.

He is real.

He spoke and there was light.

So what you speak is what your life will turn into. Start speaking His Word and all things good over your life today and see if you don't start "feeling" differently about it.
