Perception is 9/10 of the Law; Perspective is the other 1/10

I made a comment to a friend today and God is so good, like usual, to give me a lesson from it.

I vented saying:

"I was NOT meant to negotiate business deals.
Things relating to human behavior (outside of my own)? Yes.
Business, money, NO! ARGH! I’m terrible at it.
I guess it’s all in how you perceive your position."

God said, "EXACTLY!"

God showed me that He led me to do what I've been doing the past few days, but my problem is not a lack of ability, but not being prayed up.
When you try to do something in the flesh, you will fail. You'll fall prey to doubt, disbelief, and lack of backbone.

What I needed was to be prayed up, to rejuvenate my Spirit regarding how God views:
  • me
  • my ability
  • what He is doing through me
  • how valuable that is
  • what I have to offer
  • what it's worth
What I needed was to have God-fidence!

You see God-fidence depends entirely on your position.

And your position is a mental attitude.

It's all in your head. Spending time renewing in God's Word and letting Him fill you automatically elevates your position... sort of like an elevator...or escalator. But in order for that to happen, you have to actually step onto it...and seek it. It requires action from you.

Think about God, on top of a mountain, He has GREAT perspective from His vantage point!

(What is His view? That YOU can do all things -He asks- in His strength and leading.)
You're in the valley and you can't see more than 100 yards.

Climb some trails and move up to a bluff that is 1/3 of the way up and you have a much better view of your surroundings and improved perspective

Climb another 1/3 of the way up and now you have a beautiful view and you can see so much MORE.

Now you arrive at the top, you can see a 360 degree panorama for miles. Your perspective is ENTIRELY different than when in the valley and the challenges you had down there seem penny-anny compared to the current experience.

So when you pray and align yourself with God, when you receive Him, and listen for Him, and renew yourself by reading His Word, it automatically begins to elevate you to higher vistas. So when you DO go deal with your day-to-day situation where you might not have had - in your own strength - much confidence, now you have God-fidence! You have what He is doing THROUGH you.

So go be GREAT and have God-fidence today.

Anything He is asking you to do, you are quite qualified to do THROUGH Him.

He will equip you, He will pave the way before you, just press in, keep the faith and do what you know to do in the best way that you can. He'll make up for any inadequacies that you perceive yourself to have.

Have a GREAT day and God Bless!!!
