Fear of the Unknown

I often catch myself fearing the unknown,
preferring not to step out of my comfort zone.

Comfort means that I feel safe, good, protected, and not alone,
but when you reverse it and make those unknowns known,
the illusion of fear dissipates and the unknowns feel like home.

So go ahead, kick fear in the knees and move ahead full steam,
ask questions, research, and sample, to see if things are as they seem.
Don’t assume, don’t guess, don’t judge the façade or the illusion,
try to learn more about the unknowns before you jump to conclusions.

Try not to judge a “book” by its cover, just give it a second glance.
read at least “30-40 pages” and give the author a chance.
Much is authored in this world, absorbing it is how we grow,
embrace that lack of knowledge and get yourself in the know!

And don’t forget the one thing that is the most important of all,
It’s that our heavenly father guides our every footfall.
So when we fear the unknown, take heart, that is just not true,
your Dad above is well aware of what’s waiting ahead for you.

He has a plan, if things go a-wry to work things out for the best,
the most powerful way to know your strength is to be put to the test.
Things that are bad are turned 'round for good, appearances are often deceiving,
no matter what, friend, you’re loved and protected, just please keep on BELIEVING!!!
