In birth families, God chooses the kids, in adoptive families, the parents choose the kids.
So where an adoptive child perceives they may have been cheated, they actually got the better deal because they were chosen specifically.
No matter what, I believe God is involved with every type of family connection. He is our Father and we are adopted into His family and treated as His own kids.
God chooses the kids he assigns to parents whether by birth or by adoption... Adoption is just a delay in the assignment department. It's God turning what the enemy meant to destroy, into something beautiful.
Parents are earthly guardians assigned to teach kids about God, His love & His ways. They will have to answer to God for their actions or inaction regarding their kids. So don't begrudge your parents if they seem hard on you.
It's their job. The harder they are on you now, the easier life will be later. I mean this with the utmost love.
Parents do the best they can based on the tools they have to work with from their own upbringing. They love you 100% of their capacity to love - in their own way. Always know that.
You may feel they could have done more, but few parents do less than they are capable. If they aren't doing it - they aren't capable...
And your heavenly Father wants you to know that He is walking with you through it all, loving you and holding you. Accepting you in exactly the perfect way He made you. He's right there with you ALWAYS!
