You're WANTED preferably alive in Christ, because without Him, you are the walking dead and when you die, you will be separated from God forever.
You are a Spirit. As is God. This deteriorating skin bag that your spirit resides in is going to pass away but you will live on for eternity.
The question is, will that be an eternity with or without God.
There is no such thing as GOOD without God.
Think about that. God is light, without Him is darkness. That's not just a metaphor used to explain life in Christ, but it's the reality of your eternity if you do not choose God.
It's not that it's punishment per se but it's consequences.
Every choice is a choice there is no neutral.
By not choosing to vote, you are not committing thus you default to whomever gets voted in.
The fact is there is balance. The world was good. It was ALL good. But a fallen angel tempted God's companions and they chose sin because they wanted god-like knowledge due to pride. Once that choice was made God had to separate Himself from them. He cannot be in the presence of sin. It's not that He doesn't want to be with you...He can't be.
This relationship is like sticking your foot in a bucket of 220 volts of electrified water...it's not the electricity's fault that you're getting electrocuted, you chose to stick your foot in there...the consequence is shock and death. It's inevitable. Your body can't handle that kind of voltage, those are the facts.
God is so pure, He cannot be in the presence of sin. But He loves us so much He came up with a solution. There has to be a balance. To deal with the sin issue there had to be a sacrifice, a pure sacrifice, a sinless sacrificial "lamb". And that was Jesus.
He was tortured on the cross to bear our sins. He's been to hell and back, He paid the debt that the scales of justice demand for sin. Jesus is our bridge to God. God now views us through Jesus pure, clean, sacrifice. It is HIS performance that God see's not OURS. We can't earn our way to God.
It's NOT possible in any way, shape or form. But man, in His pride, and in our society, the mindset is that you have to be "good enough" or you have to "do enough"...
You can't DO anything to EARN it. It's been done.
It's like being given a car loan, being told that someone paid if off, then going to the bank and telling them you'll make payments as they look at you and say, "It's paid in full, why would you continue to make payments, you don't owe anything?"
It's like going before a judge, being sentenced and your attorney going to jail for you. He's your Defender. He's your Savior.
Jesus says, only through me can you come to the Father. If you will accept His gift of dying on the cross for you, if you will repent, and invite Him to be a part of your life. You're IN. You're family.
And this family is worldwide across every culture and every country. It really is that easy.
In Christ, you are NEVER alone again.
If you haven't accepted Him. He's sitting right there in the room with you, wherever you go, just waiting for you to acknowledge Him. He loves you that much.
It's about a relationship. His commandments are intended to show you that you CAN'T "be good" all the time, it's not possible. They are to show you where you fall short and your need for Him so that you will turn to Him. It's not to just have rules to beat you over the head with. He genuinely loves you!
You can't DO anything to make Him not love you. NOTHING.
If you were to start reading the bible, you would realize it's a book full of pretty messed up folks that God uses in amazing ways. Folks with flaws, insecurities and weaknesses. Folks who mess up over and over. You are NOT unique in being imperfect. God can use you RIGHT where you are.
He wants to love you from the inside out, in this moment, just as you are. Please accept His gift.
A gift offered does not become yours until you reach out and take it. Just because your parents grew up in church and took you to church doesn't make you a christian. If someone hands them your gift, it's theirs until you take it from them. It's your choice to make. Choose Jesus.

- If you speed and don't know the speed limit, you still get a speeding ticket.
- If you don't know about gravity, you still will fall when you step off of that cliff.
- By not choosing God, you by default choose Satan. There is no middleground.
