Light must have a Source. It doesn't just happen. Light is spread through reflectance off of other surfaces (Egyptians used this technique), so light replaces darkness. Darkness can't take over or remove light but the light can choose to fade and allow the darkness to encroach.
We face good and bad, our actions, choices, thoughts all influence and affect our Light.
If we feed the Light (oxygen/the Word) and it grows.
If we don't feed it, it fades...
If you don't have Light you ARE in the dark. There is NO in-between.

Darkness never takes away Light - we allow our Light to fade - which allows Darkness to come in.

Many "christians" are in the twilight. They are near other Lights so they think they are covered because they can "see" the light... But it is only coming from other Lights near them... They've never claimed it for their own. They don't have their own Light Source. So when the Light (other christians) aren't around, darkness moves in. They have no light source with which to extinguish the darkness. They can't understand why the light doesn't stay with them and they don't realize that it is because they never committed to being a light through which God could be the Source in the first place.
Invite God to be your Light Source today.
